La (très) grande forme, formerly named Panique Olympique, is a project created in 2018 for the Olympic Games 2024, initiated by Agnès Pelletier. As part of theCultural Olympiad of the 2024 Olympics, spectators will be able to attend a participatory performance in front of the Hotel de Ville de Paris on Saturday June 15 at 6 pm and then at 8:30 pm.
Created in 2015 by Cie Volubilis, the concept was then called Grand Dancing and gathered in 2017, 400 dancers. The idea is to offer a show in which amateurs can participate, creating an intergenerational gathering built around choreography created in the public space. In 2018, the idea was born to adapt this concept to the Paris Olympics and create a new project.
To this end, from 2018 to 2024, the project has criss-crossed the province and has already seen the light of day six times, bringing together over 2,000 participants. Now the project is coming to the capital to link the worlds of sport and art in a 7th performance. The show is open to all, young and old (aged 12 and over), dancers and amateurs alike, as well as members of sports clubs and associations, and secondary schools and universities. A free project, accessible to all, to raise public awareness of contemporary dance, at a time when sport is in the spotlight.
To take part in the project, rehearsal sessions will be held in the 3rd arrondissement from May 13 and in the 11th arrondissement from Saturday June 8. Simply register here .
La (très) grande forme can be seen on the forecourt of theHôtel de Ville on Saturday June 15, 2024 at 6pm and again at 8:30pm.
