Hip-Hop 360 show, the dance show at the Théâtre du Châtelet

Hip-Hop 360 show is on at the Théâtre du Châtelet from July 4 to 21, 2024. The show is part of theCultural Olympiad, a few days before the Olympic Games ceremony on July 26.

During the Hip-Hop 360 show, the audience is plunged into the beginnings of Hip Hop in the 80s in the Bronx, then in the 90s in France and finally in the new urban dance trends. Transported into an immersive 360-degree scenography at the Théâtre du Chatelet, spectators find themselves in sets inspired by mythical film scenes.

The three-act show is performed in the magnificent Théâtre du Chatelet, and spectators are in for an impressive view. Some of the seats in the Hip-Hop 360 show will face the theater's very large auditorium, so you'll have the same view as an actor has when performing on stage. It's an innovative scenography, and above all, a feast for the eyes! The dancers will also be elevated by high platforms at certain points, to add even more magic to the dance show .

Following on from the Hip Hop 360 exhibition held at the Philharmonie de Paris in 2022, exhibition curator François Gautret now presents the Hip-Hop 360 showat the Théâtre du Chatelet. The exhibition retraced the history of the genre: rap, dance, graffiti, DJ, beatmaking, beatbox, fashion... Artistic director of the show, François Gautret, founded RStyle in 1999, an agency specializing in urban culture, as well as theUrban Films Festival, a film festival representing all aspects of the city and urban cultures.
