Le Petit Nicolas returns not to school but to the Musée Grévin. To coincide with the release of Amandine Fredon and Benjamin Massoubre's feature film"Le Petit Nicolas - Qu'est ce qu'on attend pour être heureux?" on October 12, the character finally has his own statue in the museum. The film was presented in a special screening at the recent Cannes Film Festival, and won the Cristal for Best Feature Film at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Le Petit Nicolas joins more than 200 personalities in the famous wax museum, including other fictional characters such as Scrat, the squirrel from l'Âge de Glace, le Petit Prince, Titeuf and LadyBug and Chat Noir, the characters from Miraculous.
Petit Nicolas is the naive little boy straight from the imagination of René Goscinny and Jacques Sempé. Often introduced at school, the books have become standard reference works for children, and are regularly adapted for the cinema. The adventures of Petit Nicolas have been translated into some 50 languages, making them an international success.
Visitors to the Musée Grévin can now see Petit Nicolas for the first time in 3D, and have their photo taken with him in a very Parisian setting, just like in the film. Also new this autumn, from October 1, 2022, the Musée Grévin will be offering the Nuit au Musée, a nocturne on Saturday evenings, giving visitors the chance to visit the museum in an even more unusual way. What's your favorite Little Nicholas adventure?
