When we think of theOrient, we are probably reminded of landscapes that are sometimes deserted and hot, sometimes very colorful: the Orient is the stuff of historical accounts, legends, and children's tales that border on the imaginary. So, once a quarter, the Louvre Museum honors the different countries and civilizations that can be found in the museum's Islamic art collections. This quarter, it falls on Saturday April 22 and Sunday April 23, 2023.
It doesn't matter which day of the weekend you go to the Louvre : on Saturday and Sunday, the program is the same. In the morning (10:00 am to 12:00 noon, non-stop), there will be creative workshops, during which you can create your dream palace in a participatory workshop with the help of the collections. In the afternoon (at 2 and 3 pm), tales from the East await you: sit on a carpet to enjoy these beautiful stories or read quietly with the selection of books related to the collections, made available.
During all the vacations, guided tours in 20 minutes top chrono are planned for children and families: from Monday to Sunday, at 10:30 am, 11:00 am, 11:20 am, 2:30 pm, 3:00 pm, 3:30 pm, these mini-mediations are accessible without registration and one of them makes you discover the department of Islamic arts: enough to become pros of the collections from the East, during this weekend with your family!
See you in theDenon wing, where the entrance to the Department of Islamic Art is located, for this trip to the Orient on April 22 and 23, 2023!
