The Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace's collections are expanding, with a brand-new corner dedicated to the very young: the Cocoon. Scheduled to open in April 2024!

As well as being one of the most popular educational museums for children in the Paris region, the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace in Le Bourget, in the Seine-Saint-Denis département, is opening a brand-new area dedicated to younger visitors, beautifully named the Cocoon.

The Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace is the only museum dedicated to aeronautics in the Paris suburbs, and it's here that you can see life-size models of planes, helicopters and even rockets, along with a host of interactive areas: the planetarium, the media and games library and Planète Pilote, an edutainment area designed for families to carry out a wide range of manipulations! On April 14, 2024, the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace will be inaugurating a brand-new area dedicated to toddlers aged 0 to 4: the Cocoon.

With their rigid airs, the almost-imposed silence in the collections and the seriousness of Parisian cultural venues, it's hard to imagine a museum outing with children, or even worse, with toddlers. However, over the last few years, more and more kid-friendly facilities have sprung up at the very heart of the capital's major cultural venues: for a fun, cultural outing with the kids, follow the guide! Accompanied by their parents (or other adults), children will be able to explore two different areas, thewalker area and thebaby area (for infants). In each of these areas, a wide range of early-learning activities awaits them as they gently discover the world of aeronautics. Le Cocon also features breastfeeding armchairs, to enable young mothers to breastfeed in complete tranquillity, as well as a sanitary area adapted for toddlers (including changing table, potty reducers, steps...). From April 14, head to the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace to discover this brand-new Cocoon for families!
