With the Easter vacations 2024, scheduled from April 6 to 21 for students in zone C (of which the Paris academy is a part), it's the perfect time to catch up on all the exhibitions inaugurated this spring that you haven't had time to see! With the kids, you can take advantage of our age-appropriate activities, workshops and guided tours to enjoy a cultural outing that's also fun and creative for the whole family, as here at the Musée d'Orsay.
The good news is that the museum is free for under-18s (and under-26s resident in the European Union), and a Child & Company rate means that two adults accompanying a child under 18 can enjoy a reduced rate (€13 instead of €16). The second piece of good news is that for the vacations, the Musée d'Orsay is organizing "Holidays at the Museum", during which the museum's Salle des fêtes is transformed to welcome families. You'll find free, open-air activities for all ages, all day long from 10 a.m. onwards: take part in the tableaux vivants, hijack paintings in a creative workshop, play a giant Who Is This game inspired by the museum's works, take part in the creation of a monumental fresco... Or take advantage of the play area and library corner to spend some quiet time, with stories told daily at 3pm and 5pm.
At the moment, the Musée d'Orsay is offering two wonderful exhibitions, Pastels, de Millet à Redon and another that brings Manet and Degas face to face: so you can choose between visits followed by a workshop around the temporary exhibitions (for children aged 6 to 8 or 9 to 12), or family guided tours that offer a fun way to discover the Musée d'Orsay...
Happy family vacations at the Musée d'Orsay!
