This summer, from July 8 to September 3, 2023, the Bergerie Nationale is pulling out all the stops and going into "Olympic Games" mode, less than a year before the arrival of this major sporting event with the Bergerie Ovinpique. So don't worry, the Bergerie's sports coach has got you all set for the Olympics with his farm sports course: country golf for ace shooting, archery for bull's-eye, running for cardio, hurdle jumping for motor skills, a few lengths in the straw pool for your back, long jump for flexibility, animal traction for strength... It's a real farm pentathlon, with a sports booklet to keep track of your progress!
Incidentally, it's no coincidence that the Bergerie Ovinpique is focusing on the Pentathlon discipline, as the town of Rambouillet will be hosting the national modern Pentathlon teams for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. So, while we're waiting for our national champions to arrive in Rambouillet to go for Olympic gold, at the Bergerie we're offering you the chance to earn your diploma, but be careful: you'll need to show discipline, strength and flexibility to get it, because it's the coach who will decide whether you have the skills to be part of his team of sporty farmers.
Try your hand at the agri-olympic events on offer all summer long, from July 8 to September 3, throughout the school vacations, then take the opportunity to watch the cows being milked (4.30pm), meet the goats (5pm), discover the barefoot trail in the Jardin de Montorgueil... Or have a snack at the Mérinos Café, the Bergerie's café. From July 8 onwards, come to the Bergerie Nationale for a great family day out!
