Fête Nationale is celebrated in France every year on July 14, a date that echoes the storming of the Bastille and the Fête de la Fédération. For the occasion, the country comes alive with festive and traditional celebrations, including military parades, popular balls and fireworks displays, including the pyrotechnic show at the Eiffel Tower. On July 14th, a popular tradition also keeps us entertained until the wee hours of the morning: firemen's balls.
In the four corners of Paris and the Île-de-France region , fire departments open the doors of their barracks to let us experience a wild evening into the wee hours of the morning. This celebration is said to have begun at the Caserne de Montmartre with a popular party on July 14, 1937. Since then, the tradition has spread and become a staple of France's national holiday.
For this National Holiday 2024 in Paris, the Chaligny fire station located in the 12th arrondissement of the capital a stone's throw from the Saint-Antoine hospital is waiting for us from 9pm to 4am on the evening of July 13 to 14 to celebrate their firemen's ball. It's a chance to celebrate with the brigade and honor the firefighters for their year-round service!
