This year, the town of Malakoff is celebrating National Day 2024 in style! But like many other towns in the Ile-de-France region, the Hauts-de-Seine town has chosen not to celebrate on D-Day, but the day before. Don't get the wrong date! Head for Malakoff on July 13, 2024 for a full program of festivities!
What's on the program? A rock aperitif, concerts in the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, the traditional fireworks display, and, of course, a popular ball to dance the night away with friends and family - all free of charge, as usual!
After the fireworks and ball, Malakoff will be running a free shuttle service from 11pm to 1am to the Barbusse, Stalingrad and Valette districts! Departure from 25, rue Béranger. Want to discover the detailed program? Click here!
6:30 PM - APÉRO ROCK: Enjoy a 100% rock musical aperitif, concocted with the help of local merchants! To the sound of the Clash, AC-DC, Shaka or the Stones, sit back and enjoy a drink, a sweet or an ice cream!
There are several options for your aperitif:
8pm - SOCIAL DANCE CONCERT : Faustine, Thomas and Ange, aka Social Dance, live and compose their music together. Well-versed on stage, this pop-rock trio from Marseilles is a festival hit, fully embracing their eclectic influences (Talking Heads, LCD Soundsystem and Les Rita Mitsouko!).
9pm: JOHNNIE CARWASH CONCERT: Plug in the guitars, 1, 2, 3... Go! Prepare to be electrified by Johnnie Carwash - a.k.a. Manon, Bastien and Maxime - whose garage rock is powered by live energy, and is played to the hilt. Straight from Lyon, this guitar/bass/drums trio made Rock n'Folk magazine's coveted 2024 short list of the 50 best French bands.
11pm - FIREWORKS: Fired from the town hall square, the fireworks will light up the sky to a rock soundtrack, to keep with the theme!
11:15pm - PLACE AU BAL: The Midnite Trippers, a group of teachers from the conservatory, will play a repertoire that promises to get young and old up on the dance floor.
