As the Christmas season approaches, Christmas markets are springing up everywhere. On December 2 and 3, 2023, the Domaine de Madame Elisabeth in Versailles will be hosting its sixth Christmas counter, with a fine selection of activities for the whole family.
The princely estate is one of the last 18th-century buildings still standing and in good condition, with its 8-hectare park planted with trees in the spirit of a romantic English garden. The Domaine's Christmas market takes place on the adjoining avenues and lawns, in a green and festive atmosphere. 120 committed local craftsmen and merchants have selected quality products to help you discover a different way of consuming.
Along the way, discover the expertise of the producers, stock up on advice andgift ideas for your loved ones, and travel back in time, behind the scenes of a party organized by Madame Élisabeth.
Various foodtrucks will be on hand to serve crepes, drinks and hot dishes, not forgetting the traditional mulled wine, from 12 noon onwards. There's also plenty of entertainment to warm hearts: magic shows, creative and floral workshops, cooking demonstrations with chefs, gourmet workshops, and even a Christmas tree sale.
And for the kids, there'll be a mini escape-game, a wishing forest, and the highlight will be meeting Santa Claus in his chalet to take a photo with him! Please note that the Christmas counter will be open on Saturday from 12pm to 9pm, and on Sunday from 10am to 7pm; a festive weekend in prospect!
