Maison Landemaine, an artisan bakery and patisserie, unveils 4 highly original Yule logs, including a 100% plant-based one, as well as a dessert. This is good news for those concerned and those curious about new flavors!
Butter-, milk-, egg- and cream-free, this 100% plant-based Bûche Mont-Blanc honors the richness of nature's flavors and appeals to all palates, vegan and non-vegan alike. It features an almond crunch, a blueberry-blackcurrant confit, a chestnut paste and mousse, and a Joconde cookie. And don't think that just because it's plant-based, this log doesn't have flavors and textures: here, the sweetness of almond and chestnut contrasts with the tangy taste of berries.
Landemaine proposes a more classic log: the Sakura log, composed of flavors emblematic of Japanese gastronomy: sesame crisp and Shiro Koshian (or Japanese white bean paste), creamy cherry leaf ginger and white chocolate mousse with Sakura flower tea from Mariage Frères. The whole is embellished with a Sakura flower tea ganache.
As for the more classic logs, Landemaine offers a vanilla-lemon log and a chocolate-vanilla log.
Log prices: 4 people: 26€, 6 people: 39€, 8 people: 49€ (on order only), 10 people: 59€ (on order only)
Landemaine is also offering a New Year's entremets, available only on December 31. Pastry chef Jean-Michel Briend offers us his interpretation of the Sakura flower, a symbol of beauty and sensitivity. A delicate creation combining Sakura flower tea ganache, Shiro Koshian (white bean paste), creamy cherry leaf ginger and crispy sesame.
