The trompe-l'œil log, macaroons and Christmas 2024 creations from Ladurée

Among the Christmas logs from pastry shops and top chefs, we discover those from the Maison Ladurée. This year, Julien Alvarez, the talented pastry chef at the helm of the iconic Parisian House, offers us his bevy of logs and loglets featuring Ladurée's must-have macaroon, more classic logs, but also a stunning trompe l'oeil log and new macaron flavors.

This year, Ladurée reinvents tradition withits Signature Log. This exceptional dessert, designed as a three-tiered Christmas box, combines the finesse of Estoublon almonds with the sweetness of Réunion Island vanilla. Beneath its white chocolate shell, each bite reveals a harmonious interplay of textures: a crunchy shortbread with almond slivers, a soft muscovado cookie, a vanilla semi-salted butter caramel and a light cream sublimated by an almond praline. Priced at €300, and available by order only, it comes in a gift box containing macaroons, eugenies and Christmas pearls.

The collection is completed with emblematic logs, in vanilla, chocolate or pistachio flavors, and revisited traditional logs ranging from Ispahan to Pistachio to Chocolat Caramel, available for €78 (6-person log) or €11 (individual).

A special mention goes to the Bûche Plume Blanche, an airy creation by Alexandra Launay, combining raspberry, rosé champagne and vanilla mascarpone, priced at €90 to order.

To tide you over until Christmas, Ladurée is also unveiling an Advent calendar, priced at €100, with refined motifs evoking the festive season. Available from November 1, this boxed set will accompany gourmets as they await the festive season.

Last but not least, the house's famous macaroons are adorned with new limited-edition flavors: Caramel Craquant and Mille et une Nuits. The collection also includes festive eugenies, whose Christmas Spice and Pomme Tatin flavors embody the spirit of the season. Starting at €2.90 each, these sweets can be assembled in a sumptuous drawer box, perfect for embellishing your festive table.
