The Notre-Dame de Paris Christmas Market, one of the capital' smost beautiful and charming Christmas markets , takes on a new dimension in 2024 with the long-awaited reopening of the cathedral. From November 29 to December 25, 2024, the historic and enchanting Square René Viviani will play host to dozens of French artisans, showcasing exceptional creations and regional products in an enchanting atmosphere.
This edition promises to be unique: it celebrates the rebirth of Notre-Dame after its closure in 2019 for restoration. To mark the occasion, artist-craftsmen have come up with original works, such as bas-reliefs inspired by the cathedral's rosettes and a pendant representing the famous Stryge gargoyle. This market, organized for over 15 years by the association L'Art et la Seine, is also committed to a cause of solidarity, in partnership with Maison Harmonia, an association that supports young autistic people.
Discover a wealth of French crafts: silver and vermeil jewelry, ceramics, textiles, wooden toys and sculptures. Each piece is made in France, a tribute to skills that are often threatened. The gastronomic market features regional specialties such as foie gras, mature cheeses, macaroons, mulled wine and roasted chestnuts.
In addition to the chalets, the atmosphere will be enhanced by entertainment for young and old alike: a drawing competition, children's storytelling and live music from 4pm.
