Ho Ho Ho! Santa Cl aus is about to visit our homes, much to the delight of our children! But before he hands out his presents on the night of Sunday December 24 to Monday December 25, with the help of his reindeer and elves, this illustrious old man is going to have to respect a few rules, and not park his sleigh just anywhere, or risk a fine! In the Hauts-de-Seine region of Ile-de-France, the mayor of Plessis-Robinson has decided to make things easier for him by issuing a decree allowing him to circulate in airspace.
The presents should therefore be ready on time under the tree, since the sleigh will exceptionally be able to park in double file and occupy public space. So don't be surprised if you go out in the middle of the night and come across his 6 reindeer, parked in a parking space, from 11pm to 3am. The decree states that Santa Claus is authorized to pass through chimneys or"go door-to-door to homes without hearths".
A glass of milk and speculoos are recommended, but the town council asks that the reindeer not be fed, so that they can return to Lapland in good health. It's a nice decision on the part of the mayor, and the subject of a real municipal by-law, to participate in the folklore of the end-of-year festivities and entertain his constituents! Of course, only children who have been good this year will receive Santa Claus!
