As Christmas markets spring up like mushrooms throughout the month of December, the Marché des Cuisines du Monde, located on boulevard Richard-Lenoir near Bastille, is also decked out in its festive garb.
On Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 10am to 9pm, a special holiday edition awaits gourmands and gourmets! In all, no fewer than 56 countries and regions of the planet will be present at the Marché des Cuisines du Monde, eager to help you discover their finest specialities and choice dishes.
The 56 countries and regions present: Algeria, Argentina, Benin, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, China, Colombia, Comoros, Congo, Ivory Coast, Cuba, El Salvador, Finland, France, Marie-Galante, Overseas France, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Guadeloupe, French Polynesia, Gabon, Greece, Haiti, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Laos, Lebanon, Madagascar, Mali, Mexico, Morocco, Niger, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Senegal, Tanzania, Chad, Thailand, Tunisia, USA, Venezuela, Viet Nam.
Each stand represents a particular heritage, with must-try dishes, rare spices and traditional drinks. From Colombian arepas to Polish herrings, from Iberian ham to Filipino kwek kwek, from Paraguayan kebabs to Burkinabe babenda, this culinary journey across five continents is a real people's festival.
Also on the program: chef demonstrations, an area dedicated to the French Master Restaurateurs association, book signing sessions, workshops by the Rungis Académie, events by the Fédération nationale des marchés de France, and a central aisle featuring a selection of producers and artisans awarded the " Produit en Île-de-France" and "Fabriqué à Paris" labels!
