Open for almost a year now in Les Batignolles, l'Atelier Giardino offers delicious vegan pastries by click&collect or delivery, and plans to open a store in Paris soon. In the meantime, you can take advantage of the little treats created by pastry chef Matteo Deiana to treat yourself to a vegan version, particularly for the festive season, with two superb Yule logs, one with hazelnut, the other with citrus!
Lactose-free, egg-free and even gluten-free, the two logs"Forêt Noisette" and"Jardin d'Hiver" are available in 4-person formats at 32 euros and 6-person formats at 48 euros. We were able to taste the first, 100% dedicated to the nut, since hazelnuts are present at every level, from the cookie to the mousse! The latter is very present throughout, but the caramelized crunch and praline insert add texture and compensate for its richness and creaminess.
The hazelnut praline flowing center is a veritable explosion of flavor and indulgence, with a surprisingly grainy side that we won't soon forget! As for the "Jardin d'Hiver" log, it should appeal to lovers of seasonal fruit, with a beautiful citrus highlight for a more sparkling note, accompanied by bergamot, almond cream and yuzu.
It's worth noting that at Giardino, the emphasis is on local, seasonal, short-distance andorganic produce,for both desserts and logs. This makes you want to try all the chef's creations, all year round!
