Containment exit on June 2nd: what will change with phase 2

June 2nd will mark the beginning of the second containment exit phase. French will be able to enjoy new entertainments and new places of life will reopen in France. Limited trips, bars, cafés, restaurants, movie theaters, museums, cultural events… Let’s have a look at what will change from June 2nd, 2020.

Edouard Philippe announced it this past April 28th, the first containment exit phase spans from May 11 to June 2 before the second phase can start with the opening of more places of life, always gradually, and until the beginning of summer.

June 2nd marks then a new step in the government’s gradual containment exit plan prepared by Jean Castex. In concrete words, what will change? Prime Minister has presented the rest of the process towards a slow return to “normal life”.

Having a drink in a bar? Going to the restaurant? Having a cup of coffee or tea?

Restaurants, cafés and bars reopened this past Tuesday June 2 in all departments, but have only reopened their terraces in orange areas. Theme parks in green areas have been allowed to reopen from June 2nd and from June 22nd for orange areas.
