Many people know the famous Legay Choc bakery for its naughty viennoiseries. Claiming to be " France's first gay bakery ", the establishment has been known since 2001 for its suggestively shaped"magic baguette". Since then, the bakery has offered other specialities with unmistakable names, such as"Zizi choc" and "Bistouquette".
ForEpiphany, the Legay Choc bakery is once again bringing out its"Galette magique". Again revealing generous shapes, this galette des rois is filled with frangipane, as tradition dictates. Available in stores this January 2024.
But don't be fooled by the unusual shape of this galette. As you can imagine, it's homemade, with a generous dose of frangipane and an excellent, golden puff pastry! As for bean collectors, there's no doubt that the " Galette Magique " is not part of their collection! Spoiler Alert: they're just like the naughty creations of this unusual bakery!
If you'd like to try Le Legay Choc 's homemade galettes, but are reluctant to present this unusual shape for a family tasting, don't worry! The traditional round galette des rois is also available! And we assure you, it's delicious.
Prices 2024 :
As far as prices are concerned, note that the bakery is one of the few stores not to have raised its prices by a hair compared with last year. In view of inflation, we can only applaud this effort, especially for homemade products. Count on €3.90 for an individual galette des rois, and from €21.50 to €43.50 for a galette for 4 to 12 people. The Galette magique goes from 23.50€ to 44.50€ for 4 to 12 people.
Whatever the case, a visit to this bakery that's shaking things up is a must!
