Many people miss the Manoir de Paris, the spooky trail where terrifying actors and settings inspired byreal-life stories delighted thrill-seekers. While the venue may not have recovered from Covid, the spirit of the Manoir de Paris has not disappeared. Its creators, always ready to chill our blood, rise like zombies to make us their beloved victims.
And we, of course, can't wait! ThisHalloween, the gang goes on a quest for fresh pulp. From October 17 to November 3, 2024, a new immersive, intimate, live experience, based on real facts and stories, where we become witnesses to a reality stranger than fiction, holds out its arms to us.
This new concept, designed for a mature audience, blends pure horror and true crime in an intimate, oppressive atmosphere. We move away from haunted mansions and into the world of crime stories inspired by real events, narrated by a master of ceremonies who takes us through powerful emotions. Sessions are limited to 40 people, allowing unprecedented proximity to the narrators and intensifying every thrill.
It's Alive features two distinct stories set in two different locations in Paris, each exploring a different facet of horror. Le Sang du Diable, set near the Père Lachaise cemetery, features an exorcism gone awry. Michaël, a man possessed, is transformed into a bloodthirsty monster by demonic forces.
For those who prefer a more psychological and visceral story, La Malédiction d'une Mère, in the 11th arrondissement, tells the story of a woman who will do anything to protect her son, even if it means committing the irreparable. Viewers can choose either story for total immersion.
In each location, the atmosphere is carefully crafted to stimulate all our senses. Sound and lighting effects heighten the tension, and the subtle use of scents and special effects bring these terrifying stories to life. Unlike classic haunted tours, It's Alive draws on the phenomenon of true-crime podcasts to deliver a detailed and captivating narrative. Far from horror clichés, this experience offers a more adult reflection on fear, while playing on the codes of storytelling.
Forget the numerous characters jumping out at you in a haunted mansion, the fear is more psychological in this experience. If you're a big scaredy-cat, don't worry, you should survive this rendezvous, which comes closer to being immersed in the story, as if you were there, than to being chased by the undead.
This unique concept aims to go beyond simple Halloween entertainment, with the ambition of rolling out throughout the year, in different formats and in other French cities.
It's Alive takes us into the art of immersive horror, combining reality and emotion. To experience this adventure, visit one of the two Paris venues from October 17 to November 3, 2024. Performances take place from Tuesday to Sunday, at 6:00 pm, 7:30 pm and 9:00 pm. Le Sang du Diable takes place in the 20th arrondissement, and La Malédiction d'une Mère in the 11th. Prices are set at €42 per person, and due to the explicit nature of the stories, the event is strictly forbidden to under-16s. It's important to note that these stories include violent themes such as rape, murder and cannibalism, making them an experience reserved for a discerning audience.
