European Heritage Days allow to shine a light on exceptional places for tours and entertainments. In Paris, where culture is to be found everywhere, this is the occasion to (re)discover iconic monuments and museums, and little-known places too. Two schools to satisfy history lovers and curious people looking for trends and unusual venues.
Maison Chloé definitely has its own spot in the European Heritage Days 2022 agenda in Paris. Set in a hotel particulier in Paris 8th arrondissement, this is one of the very first luxury ready-to-wear brands that made it to the Paris scene in 1952. Chloé founder Gaby Aghion hosts the brand's first dhos in 1957 within the famous Café de Flore, den of the greatest artists. In the 60's, a dozen of the trendiest designers follow one another at the head of creation of Chloé. Among them Karl Lagerfeld, Martine Sitbon, Stella McCartney and Phoebe Philo. Today designer Clare Waight Keller runs the artistic direction of the house. Flow, feminity, boyish touches, here is the subtle balance embodying the Chloé spirit from the past and from today.
On September 17 and 18, for European Heritage Days 2022 in Paris, Maison Chloé offers visitors to enjoy a guided tour of the hotel particulier from the early 20th century. All along the tour, discover an outlook of the clothing collections the house endeavors to save on the long run.
This year, creations and documentary archives will shine a light on the story of fashion shows within Maison Chloé, from the first fashion shows in Left Bank cafés to the late 1950's with conscious contemporary shows committed with the time's challenges, and all the drama of the shows in the 1980's.
An unmissable tour for fashion fans!
