To mark the Journées du Patrimoine, the Ministry of the Interior is opening its doors to Parisians on September 21 and 22, 2024. An opportunity to visit the Hôtel de Beauvau, located in the 8th arrondissement.

As every year, the Heritage Days are an opportunity to discover unusual, hidden and exceptional places... Over the course of a weekend, France's history and cultural wealth are revealed through buildings that have stood the test of time.

In particular, it's an opportunity to discover and enter places that usually keep their doors closed to the general public, such as some of France's most important political centers. French Parliament, Élysée Palace, ministries... Many of them will be welcoming us for this event. And the Ministry of the Interior and Overseas France is no exception, revealing its treasures and secrets on September 21 and 22, 2024. You'll be able to admire the salons, the minister's office, the salle des fêtes and the garden.

The Hôtel de Beauvau has housed the French Ministry of the Interior since 1861. And did you know that the building still houses gaols used by the Gestapo to imprison resistance fighters? Many anecdotes and stories surround this building and its occupants. To discover them, take advantage of the free Heritage Days tours and events.

Here's the detailed program for this weekend's JEP 2024 at the Ministry of the Interior:
