Morning and night, this temple of the auction house is in perpetual motion, the scene of a ballet of handlers orchestrated by the auctioneers and their teams. From the delivery dock to the corridors, from the freight elevators - which were the first hydraulic elevators in Paris! - to the Magasinage warehouses, vast spaces are dedicated to the passage of works in a continuous and methodical cadence. Visitors will have the opportunity to gain an insight into the day-to-day mechanics of the institution, and understand the complex logistics involved in selling some 300,000 works of art and objets d'art every year.
