On Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22, 2024, the Journées du Patrimoine 2024 (Heritage Days 2024) offer countless tours in Paris and the Île-de-France region. So take advantage of this exceptional weekend to discover the studio of artist Endre Rozsda, in the 18th arrondissement!

Every September, we know that it's not long before the biggest cultural event at the start of theschool year: so, as every year, the European Heritage Days are back on the weekend of September 21 and 22, 2024.

In Paris and throughout the Île-de-France region, this is an opportunity to (re)discover the heritage close to home, with cultural sites, museums, artists' studios, churches, ministries... But it's also a chance to explore lesser-known heritage sites, the capital's secret spots and little-known places that are well worth a detour on this unique weekend of the year.

In the 18th arrondissement, theAtelier Rozsda, located in the Bateau Lavoir, opens its doors to the public on Saturday September 21 and Sunday September 22, 2024: this is an opportunity to discover the Bateau Lavoir, where the Franco-Hungarian painter Endre Rozsda settled in 1979. Since the 1900s, the place has also been an artists' studio, and has seen the work of such great names as Max Jacob, Pablo Picasso, Modigliani... Take a behind-the-scenes look at these studios during the Journées du Patrimoine 2024!

The program for Heritage Days 2024 at Atelier Rozsda :

  • Conference at the Rozsda workshop at Bateau-lavoir
    September 21 and 22

The space once occupied by Picasso, rebuilt after the fire of 1970, is now home to the Rozsda studio, which retains the painter's imprint intact, but remains "haunted" by Picasso and his gang.
It's in this studio that the conference will take place, tracing the origins of Montmartre, the creation of the Bateau Lavoir and Picasso's various studios.

Our lecture will make the link between the "heritage of transport networks" (the subject of the JEP 2024) and Montmartre's non-touristy cultural sites. The Bateau Lavoir is located on the route of bus line 40, which creates a north-south axis linking the heritage communication networks running from Mairie du 18e (line 12) to Mairie du 9e (lines 8 and 9) via Pigalle (line 2). Access by staircase without elevator.
REGISTRATIONS ARE CLOSED, but you can still visit the Bateau Lavoir from the outside, following the "La Marelle des Arts" itinerary using the app downloaded from
