    Saturday, September 21, 7:30 p.m.

To celebrate its first anniversary, the Maison Gainsbourg is pleased to be associated with the European Heritage Days.

After more than 32 years of anticipation, the Maison Gainsbourg has established itself as an essential cultural venue in Paris, dedicated to the transmission of Serge Gainsbourg's work, as soon as it opens in September 2023.

Conceived and led by his daughter Charlotte, Artistic Director of the Maison Gainsbourg, this project offers a plunge into the heart of the artist's creative and personal universe.

For its first participation, Maison Gainsbourg is offering a two-site experience on rue de Verneuil in Paris (7th):

    - Au 5 bis: the historic house in which Serge Gainsbourg lived for 22 years, a legendary interior preserved intact since his death in 1991. The house can be visited via an original soundtrack created by Soundwalk Collective in collaboration with Charlotte Gainsbourg.

    - Opposite, at number 14: a museum retracing the artist's life and career through a chronological display of 450 original objects: manuscripts, emblematic works and objects, as well as clothing and jewelry once belonging to the artist, from the Maison Gainsbourg collection. Alongside these showcases, eight screens display a selection of rare and, in some cases, never-before-seen television, photographic, film and radio archives. At the end of the tour, a temporary exhibition is devoted to "Je t'aime... moi non plus", the sultry duet recorded by Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg in 1968.
The tour continues at the Gainsbarre, a café by day and piano bar by night, and ends in the bookshop-boutique. Conceived as a concept store, it features a range of carefully selected collections designed to evoke the artist's rich universe.

The "Maison & Musée" tour will be available on registration from Tuesday, September 10, 2024, with a draw: first tour slot at 7:30pm, last slot at 11:30pm on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
