Pedestrian Champs-Elysées: a car-free day to launch the Christmas illuminations

The Champs-Élysées are reserved for pedestrians one Sunday a month, usually the first. It's an opportunity for Parisians of all ages to stroll freely along the world's most beautiful avenue without cars. Would you like to take advantage of this not-to-be-missed stroll in the Parisian calendar? The next dates are November 24, 2024 for the launch of the Christmas illuminations, December 1, 2024 and February 2, 2024. There will be no pedestrianization of the Champs-Élysées in January.

The illuminations of the Champs-Élysées in Paris await you await us from November 24, 2024. As a reminder, with "Paris Respire", Paris City Hall hopes to reduce fine particle emissions. And since October 2018, the car-free perimeter has been extended to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th arrondissements of Paris, allowing pedestrians to fully enjoy the center of the capital.

The anti-pollution plan has therefore continued to gain momentum, resulting in traffic restrictions for older cars and trucks since July 2017.
