Amid the health crisis and the growing number of people infected by the virus, the French Tennis Federation has announced they will give to the disposal of the AP-HP (Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris) a part of their training center set in Paris 16th arrondissement in order to accommodate patients suffering from Covid-19 who are cured but still contagious.

As of April 5, 2020, France reported 70,478 contaminated and 8,078 deaths related to coronavirus. To face this health crisis, many are those who want to help. For instance, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) will accommodate, in a part of their training center, people tested positive for Covid-19 but who are no longer in need of hospitalization but still contagious.

Set in Paris 16th arrondissement, not far from the Parc des Princes and Rolland-Garros stadium, the FFT training center will accommodate, as long as the health crisis lasts, coronavirus patients cured by still contagious for their entourage.

This temporary housing is expected to welcome the first sick – maximum 38 – within the next few days. This priceless help will enable to relieve hospital services already overcrowded. As the press release reads, no visit will be allowed.

Yet, patients will be visited everyday by an FFT doctor. And if need bee a freelance nurse could be requested.

This is not the first process of this kind. In the United-States – seriously hit by the health crisis – Flushing Meadows, the yearly theater of the US Open in New York, has been turned into a medical center and 350 hospital beds have been set.
