Following the European elections, President Emmanuel Macron took the decision to dissolve the National Assembly after the results were announced. As a result, the French were once again called to the polls to vote this time in the legislative elections, the first round of which took place this Sunday, June 30, 2024 after three weeks of campaigning and reorganization within the parties.

This time, the French will be voting for their representatives in the National Assembly. If a party wins more than 289 seats, it has an absolute majority, a decisive advantage. In total, 577 deputies are elected at the end of the legislative elections. Following the first round on Sunday June 30, 2024, a second round will take place on Sunday July 7, 2024.
