This year again, the illuminations of the Champs-Elysées will amaze young and old for the end of year celebrations, from November 20, 2022 to January 2, 2023. Theinauguration of the festivities will take place this Sunday evening, with the actor Tahar Rahim, the opportunity to discover the new golden color that will illuminate the trees of the most beautiful avenue in the world. But energy sobriety obliges, the lights will stop at 23:45 every night, and a very first ceremony of extinction is planned with the singer Louane, after the inauguration.
To contribute to energy savings, the illuminations will be turned off a week earlier than in previous years and in the evening at 11:45 p.m., instead of the usual 2 a.m. Only the evenings of Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve will escape this new rule, which should result in savings of 44%. Alreadygodmother of the illuminations of the Champs-Elysées, Louane is also expected to turn off the lights of the 400 decorated trees, for the very first time in forty years.
