While work will disrupt train traffic this summer on RER line C, users of this famous RER line have to adapt this Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Since this morning, traffic has been completely disrupted on part of RER line C due to an electrical fault. Specifically, no trains are running between Gare d'Austerlitz and Avenue Henri Martin, or between Gare d'Austerlitz and Versailles Château , in either direction. This morning, the estimated time of resumption of traffic was around 12pm. In the end, RATP does not expect"any resumption by the end of service", and postpones the resumption of traffic until Thursday morning,"at the time of the first train".

Traffic is interrupted between Paris Austerlitz and Avenue Henri Martin and between Paris Austerlitz and Versailles Château in both directions until 12pm.
Reason: trees fallen on electrical installations in the Paris Austerlitz sector.
RATP also adds that traffic is severely slowed on the rest of RER line C. Users are therefore invited to use other Paris and Ile-de-France public transport lines, such as RER lines B and D, or Transilien lines H, N and U.
