Due to network modernization work, traffic on line 4 of the Paris metro will be partially interrupted from this Friday, June 9, 2023, for three consecutive days. We tell you all about it.

For several months now, modernization work has been disrupting metro traffic on line 4 of the RATP network. Up to and including July 20, line 4 will be closed in the evening from 10.15pm onwards, from Wednesday to Thursday inclusive (except July 13), then from August 30 to September 28 inclusive, and finally from October 18 to December 14 inclusive (except November 1 and 9). Line 4 is also closed to passengers on Sunday mornings until midday, on June 18, July 2 and 23, September 3 and 17, October 1, 15 and 29, November 5 and 19, and December 3 and 17 inclusive. And from this Friday, June 9, 2023, traffic will even be partially interrupted for three consecutive days.

In detail, line 4 will be closed all day between Montparnasse-Bienvenüe and Bagneux-Lucie Aubrac stations from Friday June 9 to Sunday June 11, 2023 inclusive. As a result, 9 metro stations will be inaccessible for the duration of the work: Vavin, Raspail, Denfert-Rochereau, Mouton-Duvernet, Alésia, Porte d'Orléans, Mairie de Montrouge, Barbara and Bagneux-Lucie Aubrac.

Montparnasse-Bienvenüe station will be the temporary terminus of line 4 from June 9 to 11 inclusive. Please note that traffic will again be partially interrupted between Montparnasse-Bienvenüe and Bagneux-Lucie Aubrac stations from Thursday October 5 to Sunday October 8 inclusive.

RATP is therefore inviting passengers to transfer to connecting metro, bus, RER and tramway lines. For example, take metro line 6 to Denfert-Rochereau from Montparnasse, then line 13 to Montrouge from Montparnasse. On the bus side, you can choose between N°68 and 38 or 92. Note that RATP will also be providing replacement buses between the Bagneux-Lucie Aubrac and Denfert-Rochereau stations.
