Transport in Paris and the Île-de-France region: what disruptions are expected this week from March 17 to 23?

This week, from Monday March 17 to Sunday March 23, 2025, public transport in Paris and the Ile-de-France region will be affected by numerous disruptions. If you use the metro, RER, Transilien and tramway lines, now's the time to take a look at the planned disruptions and adapt your travel plans accordingly.

Metro, tramway, RER, Transilien... We take a look at the forecasts announced by RATP and SNCF for Monday 17 to Sunday 23 March 2025. RATP and SNCF regularly announce total or partial traffic disruptions on certain metro and RER lines, with stations closed and unserved, and even the introduction of temporary terminuses. Here's a summary of this week's disruptions.

Metro: what to expect this week?

  • Line 10: from Monday 17th to Thursday 20th March, from 10pm, traffic will be interrupted on the entire line due to works.

  • Line 14: Monday March 17 and Tuesday March 18, from 10pm, interruption between Maison Blanche and Saint-Denis - Pleyel. Replacement buses will run between Gare de Lyon and Olympiades. Wednesday March 19, from 10pm, the line will be completely interrupted for work. Replacement buses will run between Gare de Lyon and Olympiades.

RER: disruptions on several routes

  • RER B: from Monday March 17 to Friday March 21, from 10:45pm, interruption between Gare du Nord and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 - TGV / Mitry - Claye. Saturday March 22 and Sunday March 23, service between Denfert-Rochereau and La Croix de Berny / Robinson will be interrupted. Replacement buses will be available.

  • RER C: from Monday March 17 to Friday March 21, from 11pm, several interruptions on different sections, notably between Av. Henri Martin and Montigny Beauchamp / Pontoise, and between Paris Austerlitz and Juvisy via Choisy le Roi. On the weekend of March 22 and 23, service will be interrupted between Invalides and Juvisy / Massy Palaiseau. Substitution buses will be provided.

  • RER D: from Monday March 17 to Friday March 21, from 11:15pm, interruption between Gare de Lyon and Corbeil-Essonnes. From 11:20 pm, service between Paris Gare du Nord and Creil will be interrupted. Replacement buses will be provided.

  • RER E: from Monday March 17 to Friday March 21, from 10.25pm, service between Nanterre-la-Folie and Villiers-sur-Marne - Le Plessis-Trévise, as well as between Nanterre-la-Folie and Tournan. On the weekend of March 22 and 23, from 10.45pm, interruption between Nanterre-La-Folie and Chelles - Gournay. Substitution buses will be available.

Transilien: which lines are affected?

  • Line H: from Monday March 17 to Friday March 21, from 10pm, interruption between Gare du Nord and Persan - Beaumont via Montsoult - Maffliers, Mériel, and between Gare du Nord and Luzarches. Replacement buses will be provided.

  • Line J: from Monday March 17 to Friday March 21, from 9.40pm, no service between Gare Saint-Lazare and Mantes Station via Poissy. On the weekend of March 22 and 23, service between Gare Saint-Lazare and Mantes-la-Jolie via Poissy will be interrupted. Substitution buses will be provided.

  • Line K: from Monday March 17 to Sunday March 23, from 10pm, interruption on the whole line. Replacement buses will be available.

  • Line L: from Monday March 17 to Friday March 21, from 9.10pm, interruption between Saint-Nom-la-Bretêche Forêt de Marly and Saint-Cloud. Replacement buses will be available.

  • Line N: from Monday March 17 to Friday March 21, from 9pm, interruption between Gare Montparnasse and Mantes-la-Jolie/Dreux. From 11pm, service between Plaisir - Grignon and Gare Montparnasse, and between Rambouillet and Gare Montparnasse. On Saturday March 22, from 9.50pm, service between Gare Montparnasse and Dreux, and between Gare Montparnasse and Plaisir - Grignon. Replacement buses will be provided.

  • Line P: from Monday March 17 to Friday March 21, from 9.45pm, interruption between Gare de l'Est and Provins. From 10pm, no service between Gare de l'Est and Château-Thierry. From 10.15pm, no service between Gare de l'Est and Coulommiers. On the weekend of March 22 and 23, from 10.50pm, no service between Gare de l'Est and Meaux. Substitution buses will be available.

Tramway

  • T1: from Monday March 17 to Sunday March 23, interruption between Gare de Noisy-le-Sec and Escadrille Normandie-Niémen. Replacement buses will be provided.

  • T2: from Monday 17th to Sunday 23rd March, between Porte de Versailles and Suzanne Lenglen.

  • T4: from Tuesday March 18 to Saturday March 22, until 5am, interruption between Aulnay-sous-Bois and Bondy. Substitution buses will be provided.

How do you plan for disruption?

To avoid unpleasant surprises, we advise you to check traffic conditions in real time on the RATP and SNCF applications. Replacement buses will be in place on several routes to limit the impact of the work. Patience and anticipation are the watchwords for this hectic week on Paris transport!
