Bison Futé recommends a few slots and routes to reduce journey times, with traffic expected to flow more smoothly on Saturday and Sunday. Here are the tips to follow:

Leaving or crossing the Île-de-France region before 10 a.m.
- Departure direction:
- Avoid the A25 between Lille and Socx from 4 pm to 9 pm
- Avoid the A31 between Nancy and Luxembourg from 4 pm to 8 pm
- Avoid the A35 between Strasbourg and Switzerland from 4 pm to 7 pm
- Avoid the A10 at Bordeaux from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Avoid the A7 at Lyon from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and between Orange and Marseille from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Direction of return:
- Avoid the A1 between Lille and Paris from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Avoid the A61 between Narbonne and Carcassonne from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Avoid the A64 between Tarbes and Toulouse from 4 pm to 7 pm
- Avoid the A41 between Switzerland and Grenoble from 7 pm to 9 pm
- Avoid the RN346 and the A46 for the eastern Lyon bypass from 3 pm to 7 pm
- Avoid the A7 between Salon-de-Provence and Marseille from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
