This year, Triel-sur-Seine celebrates the Chinese Lunar New Year in style on Saturday, February 10, 2024! That weekend, the charming town in the Yvelines region (78) will be bursting with color, flavors and traditional entertainment, much to the delight of families.
From midday onwards, let yourself be drawn in by the sweet aroma wafting from the Chinese village, brimming with authentic delicacies, planted on the Place Philippe Prévost. After tasting the famous culinary specialities, join in the festivities from 2pm onwards, taking part in a bevy ofactivities that will take you to the heart of Chinese culture.
And don't miss the Châtelaines at 5 p.m., the starting point for the lion and dragon parade! Following the opening ceremony of Les yeux du Dragon, the parade will take to the streets of the city, with a giant dragon and batucadas, all the way to Place Philippe Prévost. Follow the procession with your loved ones to music until 7pm.
Another highlight of the day is the Dragon Bleu show at 8pm, combining dance and kung fu demonstrations by Jessy Lee, the young star of the discipline. And, as every good show ends on a high note, get ready for an epic fireworks display at 9.30pm, followed by a dance party that will electrify the town until 11pm.
