Just outside Paris, Aubervilliers is also celebrating Chinese New Year - Lunar New Year this year. Asia will be in the spotlight with a parade and entertainment on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. A festive event not to be missed.

It's not just in Paris that Chinese New Year is celebrated and parades are held. Aubervilliers also has its own parade, just like Noisy le Grand. To celebrate the Year of the Wooden Dragon in style, the town and its Chinese associations invite you to join them on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

A procession of giant dragons, held at arm's length by a cohort of porters, will stroll from Parc Stalingrad to Hôtel de Ville, to the sound of firecrackers. The event is organized by theAssociation Sino-Française d'Entraîde et d'Amitié, in partnership with the municipality. In all, 13 associations promoting exchanges and the presence of Chinese merchants or those of Chinese origin in France were represented. Lion dancing and good spirits await you.

The event takes place between 8.30am and 11.00am. Whether you're Chinese, Malaysian, Singaporean, Vietnamese or Filipino, or simply feel like immersing yourself in this culture, come and celebrate the Lunar New Year with this festive cultural event, a not-to-be-missed event to mark the arrival of the new season.

  • 8:30 am: Stalingrad Park opens to the public
  • 9 a.m.: 500 children from leisure centers are welcomed and Karine Franclet, Mayor of Aubervilliers, speaks. Entertainment (dances) and tasting of Chinese tea and ravioli.
