Usually housing the national rugby team, the stade Jean Bouin, set in Paris 16th arrondissement, exceptionally opens to art for the White Night 2021. This Saturday October 2, plastic artist Ange Leccia will unveil a very aesthetic installation from 7 p.m.
Picture this: two soccer goals set in the middle of the Jean Bouin stadium pitch. Facing one another, they are surrounded by different videos. The goal? Escaping from this famous temple of sport and performance.
Born in 1952 in Minerviu, Corsica, Ange Leccia now lives and works in Paris and in Corsica. After studying plastic arts, he commits himself two a double activity as plastic artist and cineaste. Since the 1970’s, Leccia has been developing a work of art calling in experimental cinema, video and installation.
To top it this fabulous White Night 2021 at the Stade Jean Bouin, the walkways of the stadium are home to the “CHAMPION.NE.S” exhibition, a photo exhibition by Adrien Selbert, Françoise Hugier, Magali Lambert and Maia Flore, presented by Paris 2024.
