Princess Aurora and Maleficient are back with the new adventure of the evil witch: a feature film called Maleficent: Mistress of Evil out in theaters in France on October 16, 2019.
Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning are both on the casting of the sequel of Maleficient, a fantastic movie out in 2014 that revealed the origins of this fascinating and scary character from the famous Disney classic.
Michelle Pfeiffer completes the casting of this second movie by Joachim Rønning. The Scarface or the Dangerous Liaisons actress plays the part of Queen Ingrith, while Prince Philippe is played by Harry Dickinson we’ve recently seen in Darkest Minds.
Summary:
Several years after discovering why the most famous Disney villain had such a cold heart and what led her to cast such a terrible spell to princess Aurora, MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL continues exploring the difficult relationships between the witch and the future queen why they create new alliances and face new enemies in their fight to protect their lands and the magical creatures inhabiting them.
Review:
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is a movie much more finished than the first one with a more involved Angelina Jolie who's really convincing as Maleficent, one of the most iconic Disney villains. A longer movie of course, that has quite a pace and a rather complex story.
The movie is also far less soft with rather striking scenes and a battle that is already part of the cult battles in the history of Disney movies. Also note a wonderful photography, truly inviting to travel to lands each more enchanted than the other. Get your horns out and go to the movies to discover the new adventures of Aurora and Maleficent, friends!
