For his third feature film, Mohamed Hamidi once again tackles the issue of clichés, in this case the difference between men and women. It's certainly not a revolutionary scenario. However, following the example of his film Jusqu'ici tout va bien, Mohamed Hamidi confirms his ability to handle clichés with lightness and plenty of humor.
This humorous comedy is enhanced by the character ofAlban Ivanov, who brings a freshness to the script. Kad Merad is also touching in his role as a soccer coach committed to the women's team, despite the trials and tribulations that follow. The determination of the soccer players to save the club also adds stakes to the story.
With this film, Mohamed Hamidi wanted to confront clichés with the aim of promoting solidarity. On that score, he succeeded. Less so in terms of originality. Even so, Une belle équipe remains a good distraction that will keep you smiling until the end of the screening.
