Bananaaaa? Yes, folks, our favorite little yellow creatures are already back on the small screen! After a theatrical release on July 6, 2022, Illumination 's feature film 'Minions 2: Il était une fois Gru' will be broadcast on Canal+ this Friday, February 17, 2023, to mark the start of the Zone C school vacations.
In this animated film, directed by Kyle Balda ('The Minions', 'Despicable Me 3') and Brad Ableson, the Minions will have to help a budding young criminal, Gru, to continue his rise to become one of history's greatest villains.
The very first teaser (with Steve Carell dubbing the voice of the incorrigible Gru in VO) was unveiled by Universal at the Super Bowl LIV finale on the other side of the Atlantic.
With the 70s in full swing, Gru, who grew up in the suburbs surrounded by bell-bottomed jeans and blooming hair, hatches a Machiavellian plan to get into a famous group of super villains known as the Vicious 6, of which he is the biggest fan.
And when we see the trailer, we can tell you that the Minions have lost none of their madness. What's on the agenda for this new opus? Action, villains, snacks, kung fu... in short, new adventures that are sure to spice things up.
To find out more about the adventures of the Minions and young Gru, tune in to Canal+ this Friday, February 17, 2023, before the theatrical release of Despicable Me 4, scheduled for July 3, 2024.
