Just a few months after the release of Notre-Dame Brûle, Jean-Jacques Annaud's film about the burning of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, it's Netflix's turn to take up this sad episode in the cathedral's history. The series Notre-Dame, la part du feu will be released on the streaming platform on October 19, and features a huge cast: Roschdy Zem (Roubaix, une lumière, La fille au bracelet, L'innocent), Simon Abkarian(Deux moi, Edmond), Caroline Proust (Engrenages on Canal+), Alice Isaaz (Play, Le mystère Henri Pick) and Victor Belmondo (Envole-moi, Albatros) are among the ten or so characters in this choral tale of the fire.
This is a miniseries about the fire in 2019, made up of six 48-minute episodes. It is inspired by the book La Nuit de Notre-Dame, par ceux qui l'ont sauvé, written by journalist Romain Gubert in collaboration with the Brigade des Sapeurs Pompiers de Paris.
The series takes place during the night of the Notre-Dame fire. It tells the story of the men and women who had their own fires to put out. Alongside the Paris fire department's fight against the blaze in the Cathedral, we follow characters who have to go to the very end of themselves. They will fight, love, cross paths, hate, smile at each other or help each other... and in the end, have a chance to rebuild their lives.
