Wakanda has lost their king! Chadwick Boseman passed away at 43 years old of colon cancer against which he fought for 4 long years. The actor – who met world success by playing T’Challa in Black Panther back in 2017 – has died, with his family by his side, as you can read in the message posted by his agent on his Twitter account.

Even though he was very famous for being a Disney Marvel superhero, especially in Black Panther – the sequel being planned for 2022 – or even Captain America: Civil War, as well as Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, the actor has also played very varied parts, such as singer James Brown in Get On Up, or Jackie Robinson, the first African-American baseball player who played in MLB in the movie 42.
In 2020, Chad Boseman would have been starring in 3 feature films (their releases being postponed because of Covid-19): Yasuke, Ma Rainey’s Black-Bottoms, and Da 5 Bloods by Spike Lee.
Avengers have been paying him tribute on social networks such as Mark Rufalo, Brie Larson or Chris Evans: “I’m absolutely devastated. This is beyond heartbreaking. Chadwick was special. A true original. He was a deeply committed and constantly curious artist. He had so much amazing work still left to create. I’m endlessly grateful for our friendship. Rest in power, King”.
