Michael Douglas is currently shooting a historical mini-series in and around Paris. You haven't seen him? He is playing the role of the politician Benjamin Franklin and plays the part of Ludivine Sagnier. Keep your eyes open!

A glimpse ! Michael Douglas strutting in period costume at the foot of the sumptuous Montansier theater in Versailles (Yvelines). The distinguished Oscar-winning actor plays Benjamin Franklin in a mini-series produced by Apple TV +, currently in the middle of shooting.

Adapted from Stacy Schiff's Pulitzer Prize-winning"A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France, and the Birth of America," the series is written by screenwriter Kirk Ellis and directed by Timothy Van Patten. The main subject of the "biopic" is Benjamin Franklin 's strategic and political parries to convince France, then still under monarchical rule, to support American democracy.

To take on the role of one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, Michael Douglas, surrounded by a renowned Franco-British cast: Ludivine Sagnier (Lupin) and Thibault de Montalembert (Ten for a Cent) give the line to Noah Jupe (Without a Sound) or Eddie Marsan (The Gentlemen).

The filming of the historical mini-series is moving to the Île-de-France region, and was recently spotted in Versailles near the Montansier theater. You could also see the whole 7th art clique, not far from 200 extras, in the Marais in Paris or during a stop in the gardens of the Palais Royal.

This political epic should be released on our screens in 2023.
