Maison Francis Kurkdjian, a member of the LVMH group, has supported the creation of a new garden at the Château de Versailles. "Le Jardin du Parfumeur" takes root in theChâteauneuf orangery, located in the park of Versailles and previously closed to the public.
A major project undertaken by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian and Marc Chaya, President and co-founder of the House, which will see the Trianon estate adorned with a vast floral area, featuring some one hundred essences.
An olfactory journey of initiation to teach walkers the basics of the characteristics and subtleties of each plant and species. In the landscape too, visitors will discover a trail tracing thehistory of perfume at the court of Versailles since the 17th century.
A true declaration of love for flowers and Versailles, where Francis Kurkdjian's vocation was born. At the city's perfumery school, the man who is now also Dior's Director of Perfume Creation, reinterpreted Marie-Antoinette 's historic fragrance, and subsequently imagined olfactory installations in the château's gardens.
