On the beach, under the coconut trees, on a terrace this summer, in front of your desk at the start of the new school year, it's all you can think about. But don't despair, your ordeal will soon be over: Christmas movies are officially back. And it's even earlier than usual, of course, as Halloween hasn't even started yet! The TF1 group has announced that it will start broadcasting Christmas TV movies from October 14 , 2024, on its main channel, and from Sunday October 13 on TMC.
Weather permitting, you can curl up under a blanket, ready to discover the adventures of this dynamic young executive who has forgotten the true meaning of Christmas and must return to her hometown to rediscover it, where she will find love, rest assured. Even if we know the scenario of these TV movies in advance, we have to admit that we're all fond of them!
It may come as a surprise to start airing these films so early: in the past, TF1 would wait until at least November 1, to let Halloween pass, before starting the end-of-year celebrations, but in recent years, the trend has moved on. "Every year, TV movies are broadcast earlier and earlier, and it's working. Audiences are good. And the French need cheering up," TF1 explained toEurope 1 back in 2022.
For this new season of festivities, TF1 promises never-before-seen films, which will also be available on its TF1+ streaming platform. The M6 group's channels should also start broadcasting these Christmas films again in the coming weeks.
