Respecting the fundamentals of the series, while bringing in new plots and characters, is the plan of TF1, which is officially taking over the broadcasting of Plus Belle la Vie. The series, which aired on France 3 for 18 years, ended on November 18, 2022. However, the series' producers, Newen France and its managing director Vincent Meslet, as well as the TF1 channel, are keen to resume the project, as they state in an article in Le Figaro.
And to do so, they'll have to start almost from scratch! Rebuild the sets, destroyed at the end of the broadcast, call on new actors, and write new plots. Fans needn't worry, though, as a number of series veterans will be making a comeback. Among them: Marwan Berreni (Abdel Fedala), Sylvie Flepp (Mirta Torres), Léa François (Barbara Évenot), Stéphane Hénon (Jean-Paul Boher), Cécilia Hornus (Blanche Marci) and Laurent Kérusoré (Thomas Marci) .
Above all, Plus Belle la Vie will continue to be as topical a soap opera as ever, dealing with social issues not usually covered by French fiction. Shooting is due to start in mid-October, for broadcast in early 2024.
