Scheduled for theatrical release on October 9, 2024, My Hero Academia: You're Next is the fourth feature film in the popular animated series adapted from the manga of the same name. With more than 100 million copies sold worldwide, the universe imagined by Kohei Horikoshi never ceases to draw in the crowds, and this new original story should maintain this craze. The film, produced by the Bones studio and distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment, will be shown in several countries from October, including France, where a preview is scheduled for September 27, 2024 at the Grand Rex in Paris.
In My Hero Academia: You're Next, society is on the brink of collapse after a fierce battle between the heroes and the villains. As a mysterious fortress rises from the ruins, Deku and his friends from U.A. High School face a new threat. The mighty Dark Might, a mysterious antagonist who seems to embody a twisted version of their symbol of peace, emerges to wreak havoc. Deku and his classmates from Class 1-A will have to mobilize all their forces to protect the world and foil the plans of this formidable new enemy.
My Hero Academia: You're Next is aimed above all at fans of the series, but also at a wider audience of shônen and action fans. Enthusiasts of previous films, such as My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising and My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission, will rediscover the adrenalin and epic battles that have made the franchise such a success. This fourth installment should stand out for its new, original plot, which introduces a new antagonist, Dark Might, while maintaining continuity with the events of the series. Kohei Horikoshi 's direct involvement as supervisor and character designer guarantees fidelity to the original work, while bringing a new dimension to the My Hero Academia universe.
Fans of animated series such as Naruto or Demon Slayer will also be seduced by the spectacular aspect of the battles and the evolution of the characters.
