The Sidaction association was founded 30 years ago. For the past three decades, Sidaction has been fighting AIDS by funding research programs, HIV prevention and aid to people living with the virus, both in France and abroad. To raise funds, the association organizes the annual Sidaction, " a unique operation made possible by the mobilization of 35 media outlets over three days and the commitment of thousands of volunteers throughout France ", as explained on the website.
This year, the Sidaction weekend returns on March 22, 23 and 24, 2024. A few days earlier, to mark the association's 30th anniversary, France 2 decided to broadcast the series-event " It's a Sin " for the first time on free-to-air prime time on the france.tv platform. The series has already been broadcast in 2021 on Canal+.
To be discovered on France 2 on Monday March 18, 2024 from 9:10pm, this British series looks back at the arrival of HIV in 1980s London, following a band of friends made up of Ritchie, Roscoe, Colin, Ash and Jill. Through 5 episodes of 45 minutes each, " It's a Sin " explores slices of life, love and loss.
Directed by Peter Hoar, the series features a host of young actors, including Olly Alexander as Ritchie Tozer. His name will certainly be familiar to you. Actor, Olly Alexander is also the former lead singer of the group Years and Years. A fervent defender of LGBT rights, Olly Alexander will be back in the news this spring at the next Eurovision Song Contest, due to take place in May in Sweden. He will be defending the colors of his country, Great Britain.

Synopsis:
