After an acclaimed first season, Castlevania: Nocturne returns with a vengeance in January 2025 for its second season on Netflix. This new opus from the Castlevania universe sees Richter Belmont (dubbed by Edward Bluemel) and his allies, including the legendary Alucard, embark on a frantic race against Erzsebet Báthory, a powerful vampire eager to seize the powers of the goddess Sekhmet. The series, directed by Sam and Adam Deats, is created by Clive Bradley, already known for his work on Trapped.
In this second season of Castlevania: Nocturne, Richter Belmont and his companions face their greatest challenge yet: preventing Erzsebet Báthory from recovering powers capable of plunging the world into a reign of infinite darkness. As revolution rumbles across France, the battle against supernatural forces becomes ever more perilous, and the alliance with Alucard may be their only hope of survival.
Castlevania: Nocturne will appeal to fans ofanime and dark fantasy, as well as fans of the Castlevania video games and tales of vampire hunters. With its gothic aesthetic, epic battles and charismatic characters, this series will delight those who enjoyed series such as Blood of Zeus or The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. The tension between human rebellion and supernatural creatures, combined with the alliance between Richter Belmont and Alucard, adds a fascinating dynamic to this new season.
Season 2 of Castlevania: Nocturne promises Dantean battles and an even deeper dive into the gothic, bloody world of Castlevania. Get ready to catch up with Alucard, Richter Belmont, and their band of vampire hunters in January 2025 on Netflix.
