A game gamers have been waiting for like the messiah... Elden Ring, the latest release from FromSoftware Studios and published by Bandai Namco, has been available since Friday February 25 in physical and digital versions on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. This dark fantasy software, imagined in collaboration with George R.R. Martin, the father of Game of Thrones, should appeal to all fans of the genre... So much so, in fact, that it was voted GOTY(Game of the Year) at the Game Awards held in Los Angeles on the night of December 8-9, 2022.
What's it about? You're plunged into the heart of the Kingdom of Between-Earths, some time after the destruction of the Circle of Elden and the dispersal of its fragments, the Great Runes. You play the role of a Sans-Eclat, an exile from the kingdom who has lost the grace of the Circle, recalled after the Fracassement, and who must cross the entire kingdom to find the Great Runes and restore the Circle of Elden.
In terms of gameplay, you'll find everything that makes open world andheroic fantasy so special, with the use of human and magical weapons, battles against impressive creatures, quests and missions of all kinds... Those accustomed to FromSoftware 's games should find most of what they know, especially when it comes to the game's difficulty. But for newcomers, don't panic: the teams have adapted the game to make it a little more accessible, even if achieving certain objectives may take a little longer.
