If ever there needed to be a sequel to one of the games developed by Remedy, it's Control! The software, published by 505 Games and released in 2019, was one of the surprises of the year, offering a game between science fiction and horror within a most mysterious secret agency of the American government, the Federal Bureau of Control.
Two new games, then, based on the distinctive Control universe, with release dates as yet unknown. But we do have some information on these softs, according to the review unveiled by the development studio. The first FBC: Firebreak (formerly Project Condor). This is a cooperative PvE game revolving around the Federal Bureau of Control.
As for the second, it's called "Heron" and is described as"a bigger Control game", and is intended to be a sequel or a particularly well-developed spin-off. It should be noted that the latter is currently in the"preparation for development" phase, as announced by ourIGN colleagues in August 2024.
And for those who haven't yet got their hands on Control 1, you'll be playing the role of Jesse Faden, a young woman who sets out to find her brother, Dylan, who was abducted 17 years earlier by the Federal Bureau of Control, an agency charged with investigating paranormal and paranatural phenomena that violate the laws of reality.
Exploring the "Old House", located at the heart of the building, players discover that the Bureau, beyond defying all laws of physics and reality in its design (we'll let you discover the graphics and structures completely upside down), harbors an evil from another dimension that has corrupted the employees of the various departments. Equipped with a modular "function weapon" and a variety of paranormal abilities(levitation, telekinesis, shield generation, etc.) to be acquired via items, gamers must annihilate this "virus" while seeking the truth about Jessy's brother.
Two opuses we can't wait to get our hands on... In the meantime, we'll be content to rediscover Jesse Faden's first adventures. Get ready!
