Attention wrestling fans! WWE 2K returns for a 2022 edition on PC and consoles on March 11, 2022. Review and trailers!

Fellow gamers and wrestling fans, here's something for you to get excited about! Since March 11, 2022, 2K Games has been offering you the chance to take on the best WWE wrestlers in WWE 2K22, available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. The game is revealed in several trailers, the latest of which show a little more gameplay for the 2K Showcase and My Ascension modes.

Two trailers focusing on key moments in the incredible career of Rey Mysterio, a legendary wrestler who has won three world championships: the WWE World Heavyweight Championship twice, and the WWE Championship. Relive crucial moments in the champion's long career in 2K Showcase mode, or build your own career towards Superstardom in My Ascension mode.

In the first mode, you're given the chance to take on other wrestling legends such as Eddie Guerrero, The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, as well as more "contemporary" wrestlers like The Miz and Dolph Ziggler. As for the My Ascension mode, this gives you the opportunity to experience the journey of a WWE Superstar through unique scenarios for the men's and women's divisions. As you progress, you'll meet other WWE Superstars. In short, two great modes to discover in more detail below. And if not, let's enjoy the other trailers!

And let's not forget to try out the other modes available in the game: My GM, My Faction and Universe mode! To your controllers!

Our Review:

WWE 2K22 returns to PC and consoles after a two-year absence, due to the Covid, among other reasons, to offer us a convincing simulation, through its six game modes equally interesting in their variety and freshness of content. We particularly appreciate the My Ascension mode, a far cry from the traditional Career mode, a real tribute to Rey Mysterio and his career, allowing you to relive his key matches. It's different from the usual, and for the better, as the mode allows you to rediscover the game from another angle. A good point...

In terms of gameplay, theold adage"the best soup comes from the oldest pot" is also true, as 2K and Visual Concepts have taken up the formula that was already working, with heavy and light attacks, possible combos and different ways of knocking out your opponent. Regular players shouldn't feel out of place, and newcomers should be able to get to grips with the game quickly and easily.

Graphically speaking, however, it's more complicated... In fact, that's the main problem, as the game's graphics are sometimes highly advanced and particularly pretty (think of the folds in the clothes, for example...). To be clear, we played on PS4), while at other times the graphics are far from what you'd expect, as in the case of the Superstars' hair, which contrasts sharply with the rest. It's uneven, and that's a shame. But the game is still fun to play, especially on next-gen consoles, we're told.

All the same, WWE 2K22 boasts solid, quality content (considering where the franchise is coming from, with a very disappointing 2020 edition), which should appeal to enthusiasts and neophytes alike. A good 2022 vintage, in itself, for all wrestling fans. Now all you have to do is get your hands on the game. To your controllers!
